Livestock Procurement Manager- North East England

The most important aspect of livestock procurement is having excellent ongoing relationships with the farming community.

It is vital to ensure a steady supply of livestock into the company in order to meet the required demand, you will be working to budgets, standards and deadlines therefore need to be someone used to working in a demanding, fast passed environment.

You may be someone from a farming background looking to thrive in a new career challenge or perhaps someone already working in procurement, looking to join an industry shaping company.

The right person will have:

• A good practical livestock background, ideally cattle and sheep.
• Strong interpersonal skills, articulate and personable.
• Numerical and IT Skills.
• Quick thinking, adaptable, trustworthy.
• A flexible attitude, this is not a 9-5 role.
• Prior procurement experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
