Job Details
We are recruiting for an Indoor Pig Stockperson for a farm in Cumbria (CA20).
Our client has a modern 750-sow indoor multiplication unit and is looking for a new team member to help maintain very good performance.
All progeny is weaned off-site and go to their own grow-on centre. Only replacement gilts are kept on site after weaning.
It is a straw-based system, scrape through with automatic feeders.
The unit is situated in a very picturesque area, with the local town only 3 miles away.
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous pig husbandry experience
- Good communications skills
- Have enthusiasm and drive to want to succeed
- Attention to detail
Salary guide: Around £30,000 per annum, doe.
The position comes with housing (a 4-bed family house) and an excellent financial package.
