An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at the Bishop Burton College Farm.

Bishop Burton College Farm is a mixed farm consisting of suckler cows, sheep, arable and B&B pigs. A commercial farm that provides teaching and learning and assessment resources for a range of agriculture students to train the next generation of agricultural workforce in addition to delivering a commercially successful enterprise.

We are seeking an enthusiastic stockperson to work alongside the farm manager providing the day-to-day care to our herd of 100 pedigree stabiliser cows, 300 ewe flock and B&B pig enterprises. Duties will include daily stock checks, TMR feeding, bedding and other general farm duties, as well as playing a key role in seasonal activities such as lambing and calving, silage and hay making. An interest in regenerative farming would be an advantage as would experience in recording animal performance data. We provide a positive working environment whilst maintaining the safety, presentation and effective organisation of the farm including animal health and welfare, to industry standards along with many opportunities for training and development.

The ability to drive a tractor and NPTC or equivalent telehandler certificate is an advantage.

PA1c and PA6 knowledge and certification desirable.
