Agronomy Trials Technician
Morley, Norfolk
Ref: SV/A1190

Passionate about agriculture, but not certain how to get started or what career to choose? Looking for a role where every day is different? Join us and you will learn new skills and work hard as part of a small team in a large company with great career progression.

NIAB runs the largest field crop research operation in England and Wales, with its headquarters at Cambridge and twelve regional centres and over fifty staff directly involved with in-field trialling of crop varieties and inputs. We are currently looking to fill a position in our Eastern region. Those beginning their careers are also encouraged to apply to a company that has a comprehensive development programme and attractive pay and benefits package.

You will be involved in sowing, growing, assessing and harvesting a wide range of arable and horticultural crops.

To be successful, you will need a good basic level of education, excellent team working and communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Some experience of working in field crop trials that includes pesticide application and crop assessment would be beneficial but full training will be provided where necessary.

A full UK driving licence is essential as travel around the country to trial sites is required.

This is a permanent, full-time appointment with a salary in the range of £19,920 to £26,284 per annum depending on skills, experience and qualifications and also paid overtime during peak season.

Further details and an application form are available on our website: or from the HR Office, 93 Lawrence Weaver Road, Cambridge, CB3 0LE. Tel: 01223 342282.

Please quote the job reference on your application.

Closing date: 10 November 2021.
