The Rural Business School at Duchy College is looking for a Research Officer to join its team responsible for the Farm Business Survey (FBS). The survey is the largest and most extensive study of farms in England, providing an authoritative source of information for farmers, decision makers and organisations throughout government and the industry.

Initially for a one-year contract to January 2023, the successful candidate will be required to collect and analyse physical and financial data from farms across the region to construct detailed management accounts. Having experience in agriculture and an aptitude for financial accounts, you must enjoy working in an organised way on highly detailed figures and be willing to work flexible hours. Good communication skills, the ability to build lasting working relationships with farmers and a sound understanding of IT are also desirable.
