WHERE IS THE ROLE LOCATED? West Midlands

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? Encompassing a wide variety of activities, mainly office based, communicating externally and internally, providing analysis and data, you’ll be immersed in the product sector, understanding the market, dealers and competitors, and ensuring that relevant information is distributed and presented appropriately. You’ll provide a pivotal role in supporting sales teams, focused on adding value to the commercial process, creating and delivering product training material and developing marketing material appropriate to the UK market in order to maximise sales activities.

WHAT QUALITIES DO I NEED?

  • We’d like to see a strong affinity with arable farming, displaying excellent knowledge of current arable farming practices, particularly from a technology / precision farming perspective, with some healthy hands-on operator experience
  • You’ll have limitless enthusiasm for modern agricultural machinery, able to communicate effectively and convey your passion to specific groups including dealers, end users and colleagues
  • You’ll be commercially aware and familiar with the sales and marketing relationship, with a basic understanding of product marketing activity and product ownership
  • Strong IT literacy will be a key factor in achieving success in this role – you’ll be confident in using all MS Office applications, CRM and presentations
  • You’re a team player – outgoing, communicative and helpful
  • A background in agricultural engineering isn’t essential, however you should be mechanically minded and comfortable getting your hands dirty from time to time
  • Some experience of marketing and business would be useful, as would an agriculture-related degree in marketing, engineering or business management
  • Personality counts for much in this role – if your attitude is positive, you like helping people, and can engage effectively with people both remotely and face to face, showing professionalism and passion for your sector this could the role for you!
  • You’ll have a clean driving licence and be flexible on occasional travel requirements
