About our Client

Crowders are a 7th generation family business that specialises in growing hardy ornamental nursery stock to industry professionals across the UK and Europe. They have been established for over 200 years and grow over 3 sites on over 330 acres. Crowders grow over 4 million plants a year to HTA standards and are also BALI members. They pride themselves in growing from UK seed where possible.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning and production of over 4 million plants a year. You will be working closely with the Nursery Managers to ensure the plants are grown to the highest standards. You will manage the recruitment and training process for nursery staff, and support in budgets and planning for each Nursery Department.

The Ideal Candidate

This role would be suitable for someone who is looking to take a step up in their career. You will have exposure to a commercial horticulture environment and ideally have worked with Hardy ornamental nursery stock. A qualification in horticulture is desirable, along with the ability to communicate with the team around you and the wider business.
