If Animal Health is your thing - then I have an opportunity to share with you. This is an incredible position with a company that really looks after their people - this your chance to head up animal health sales across the agricultural market within the UK.

I am on the look out for an ambitious and experienced Animal Health Sales Professional in England who is happy to either be field based with occasional trips to the head office or can be office based if preferred. Our client is a competitive international manufacturer and distributor within the animal husbandry industry offering a comprehensive range of animal health products. You would be part of an influential business that prides itself on the traditional pillars of good customer service, quality advice, competitive pricing and products that sell themselves from their reputation.

This is a role where you will really take the reins and develop this area, you will already have great contacts in the agricultural trade, have an affinity to your farming customers and a commercial understanding. This is an ideal position for those who have previously undertaken an area sales position and are looking for a step up or for those already in such a role looking for a new challenge.

Your Day to day tasks include (although not limited to) :

  • Account management and business development.
  • Product launches.
  • Promotion and selling of a complete range of large animal healthcare
  • Negotiations, Demonstrations and Sales Meetings.
  • Reviewing and improving processes to increase customer satisfaction and minimise any potential loss to the company.
  • Maintain good relationships with store representatives.
  • Attending trade events, shows and conferences.

Applicants should come from one of many agricultural sales or advisory backgrounds. Success in selling to farmers in the animal health would be of particular interest. The ability to talk confidently, with credibility to dairy, sheep and beef farmers is essential and a willingness to travel will be required.

Requirements:

  • Several years agricultural field sales experience in direct relation to animal health or related agricultural products.
  • AMTRA qualification preferable (but not essential).
  • High levels of initiative and a sound work ethic
  • Willingness to travel and hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • The ability to be able to form long lasting business relationships
  • In depth knowledge of UK dairy, sheep and beef farming
  • Highly motivated, driven, tenacious and ambitious to succeed.
