FARM LIAISON MANAGER
Reporting to: Area Agronomy Manager
Location: Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire
Job Purpose
We are looking for 2 highly motivated and ambitious candidates to join our team as Farm Liaison Managers, to maintain and win new business through the marketing of high quality Digestate to land whilst sourcing sufficient new storage.
Main responsibilities
Long term planning
- Ensure availability of sufficient, suitable, deployed fields for spreading Digestate
- Ensuring adequate provision of storage for inclement weather contingencies
- Land and storage located optimally to customers served
- Ensure effective communication with all key departments
Daily Management
- Liaison with the Agronomy, Operations and Transport Departments
- Overseeing of spreading operations to ensure the job is completed compliantly; quality is maintained; necessary paperwork is completed
- Following company procedures so that correct practices are followed
- HSE / Environmental reporting and coordination in your area
- Delivering leadership and management to your team and contractors
- Conducting farm visits and audits
- Ensure complaints are dealt with in an accordance with company procedures
- Provide the Area Agronomy manager with information and data
Competencies for success
Skills, qualifications and practical experience
- WAMITAB qualified (Desirable)
- Agricultural sales experience/ knowledge of farming practices
- Knowledge of land spreading techniques and equipment
- Current knowledge of Waste regulations / Land spreading regulations
- Knowledge of Environmental Management schemes
- Experience of dealing with farmers
- Full UK driver’s license
- FACTS qualified (not essential)
- Ability to problem solve

- Ability to speak to – and close deals with - farmers
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
- Organised and practical
- Attention to detail and process
- Flexible to the needs of the business – location, travel and working hours

Salary
From £33,000 per year and additional bonus scheme
This role requires the employee to plan their diaries and workload. You will have autonomy over your daily working hours and your weekly schedule to meet the requirements of the role.
