NIAB runs the largest field crop research operation in England and Wales, with its headquarters at Cambridge and 12 other regional centres and over fifty staff directly involved with in-field trialling of crop varieties and inputs. Our field crop research and impartial information is widely utilised and trusted by the agricultural community.
You will have a sound practical knowledge of agriculture, motivated and adaptable enough to work inside and out, with the expectation to work with a range of equipment, farm machinery and locations. Some experience of working in field crop trials that includes pesticide application and crop assessment would be beneficial but full training will be provided where necessary.
We are currently looking to fill a fixed term position within our South region. Those beginning their careers are encouraged to apply to a company that has a comprehensive development programme and attractive pay and benefits package. The successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence as travel across multiple sites across the South region and other NIAB sites is required.
This is an 18-month fixed term, full-time appointment with a salary in the range of £19,920 to £26,284 per annum depending on skills, experience and qualifications and also paid overtime during peak seasons.
