Senior Raw Materials Buyer - South West England - Hybrid/WFH

Are you an experienced raw materials buyer looking for the next step into a senior role?

An exceptional career opportunity has arisen for a Raw Materials Buyer for a very successful agricultural business in the South West of England. This business is well respected in its field - and it is expanding.

As part of the senior management team, the successful candidate will ideally have at least 5 years of experience of buying raw materials and a strong knowledge of animal nutrition. You'll have the ability to hold strong negotiations and will be responsible for effective and profitable procurement of base ingredients for compound, blends, and straights. Working within a team of highly experienced nutritionists and consultants you will ensure everyone is kept updated with rapidly changing market conditions and trends resulting in excellent customer service.

This role can be undertaken from the company's head office or can be a work from home/hybrid position also.

Requirements:

• The ability to form long lasting business relationships.
• Previous buying experience.
• IT literate and capable of operating a variety of company systems.
• An understanding and knowledge of the UK and Global market.
• Astute with financial planning and forecasting.
• To manage time effectively.
• A team player.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• A decision maker.
• Ideally, but not essentially, candidates will also have feed formulation knowledge.
• Valid UK driving license.
