About Our client

We are delighted to be working with a leading breeder and grower of soft fruit as they look to take on a Glasshouse Assistant to join their growing team. Based on one of their principle research and development farms in Kent, you will assist the Glasshouse specialist with the day to day running of the glasshouse.

About the Role

The main objective of the position is to support the Glasshouse Specialist. You will be involved in the planning and budgeting for activities at the Glasshouse facilities, ensuring quantity, quality and timely delivery of plant orders. Organising the supervising the collection of samples for plant health testing and supervising and training seasonal employees.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for growing and some kind of growing experience of nursery crops. Someone who is hands-on and a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team and collaborate with other colleagues to achieve team goals. Someone who is ambitious and wants to work hard to have a strong career in growing.
