Assistant Farm Manager
Salary: circa £32,000 per annum plus 2/3 bed cottage in glorious village, free firewood, council tax paid, Bupa, Pension.
Location: Cirencester
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a 2,000 acre farm in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds.
The farm predominantly produces cereal crops however they are moving towards regenerative farming and aiming to introduce livestock.
Ideally applicants will have studied agriculture and have worked in a similar setting before.
The role will include:
- Use of John Deere Tractors
- Operation of trailed Horsch Leeb 30 metre sprayer
- Harvest work
- Minimal tillage
- Variable rate fertiliser spreading
- Spring and winter drilling
- General farm maintenance work including woodland
Applicants must have:
- PA1 and PA2 spraying qualifications
- Telehandler certificate
- Understanding of the Countryside Stewardship Mid-tier Scheme
- Must be IT literate ( previous experience of Gatekeeper software would be advantageous )
