Skills Required
Required to operate a “Househam” 24 metre self-propelled sprayer.
Conversant with modern arable machinery and operations including: - subsoiling, ploughing, secondary cultivations. Relief drilling and harvesting.
Tractor work including, trailer haulage, topping, haymaking, and hedge cutting.
Manage grain storage and drying.
A high standard of machinery maintenance is required.
Operate and service a biomass system. (Training provided)
Cattle handling, feeding and bedding.
Estate maintenance, including fencing, building repairs, welding and ground works.
Person
Would ideally suit an ambitious person looking to progress their career.
A versatile and multiskilled person, able to think on their feet and adapt to situations.
Computer literate, numerate, with good record keeping ability.
A tidy person, able to communicate well and take instruction.
Driving licence, PA1, PA2, telehandler certification essential.
The following would be advantageous: - PA4, PA6, ATV, chainsaw certification. (BASIS and FACTS)
