Your New Role:

The successful applicant will be in daily contact with landowners, farmers and occupiers to secure agreements to enable works to be engineered. In this role, you will predominantly assist clients in securing consents for fibre projects in and around North Devon with occasional travel to Bristol. You will be the primary contact for landowners impacted by Clients proposed work, drafting and issuing required documentation and liaising with them to secure agreements where needed. Applicants need to be confident, have good communication skills, attention to detail and good agricultural knowledge. The candidate must have their own car as the role involves a lot of time out on site visiting clients, land owners and farmers, whilst maintaining a flexible base from the regional office; a willingness to travel is essential. This role is well suited to Graduates with a degree in Land Based subjects or those with more experience in Wayleave documents.

Your Working week will include:

  • Proactive engagement with landowners using various forms of communication (letters, phone calls, site visits or virtual meetings) to secure the consents required.
  • Provide clear updates to Client's progress reports and, where appropriate, provide additional support and advice to build positive relationships with Client teams.
  • Attending ad-hoc project calls and project reviews with the Client as required.
  • Taking a solution and proactive based approach to resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate stakeholder records tracking progress and for escalation purposes, providing clear and concise records with supporting photographs (if required).
  • Working in line with Client-set timeframes and targets to ensure the programme is delivered.

About you:

  • Candidates with previous experience in the farming industry, telecoms, or utilities are encouraged to apply, however these are not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and credibility with farmers and landowners.
  • Up to date IT skills.
  • Organised and able to manage a busy work load.
  • Able to manage projects.
  • Team player.
  • Willingness to undertake training and take on new tasks as required.
  • Problem solver.
  • Personable and professional.
