A dairy advocate is sought after for a leading education and research facility in the North of the UK. As part of an exciting expansion of the Agricultural department, a new Assistant Farm Manager is required to provide first hand support to the Farm Operations Manager.

As Assistant Farm Manager, you will be ensuring all daily operations run smoothly on farm. With operations spread across 3 sites, you will be ensuring animal health protocols are adhered to at all times along whilst having a keen eye for Health and Safety. Not only will you be providing support to the dairy enterprise, but overseeing crop plans and sheep operations which move in conjunction with the dairy.

About you:

  • Have a strong dairy and crop background.
  • A background in ewe management would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to transfer between practical dairy, machinery and managerial responsibilities.
  • Provide direct support to the Operations Manager.
  • Be highly organised and flexible between different areas of the farm.
  • Excellent stockmanship skills.
