We are looking for an experienced person to take over the management of the 1485 acre Roundwood Estate, reporting directly to the owner. The position has become available due to the retirement after 29 years of the current farm manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced existing farm manager or a person with relevant farming experience and qualifications wishing to take the next stage to farm management.

  • Over 900 acres of Hampshire downland growing combinable crops using a minimum tillage and precision farming approach to produce a high quality, clean crop that is sold in premium markets.
  • Approximately 300 acres of mixed woodland, with a woodland management scheme.
  • A small successful family shoot.
  • A small number of independent businesses and rented cottages operate from the estate grounds.

The work would encompass the management of the Estate, and the successful candidate will be responsible for a small team including tractor driver, additional seasonal workers and gardener/ estate worker.

The ideal candidate would be forward looking, keeping up to date with developments in modern farming and be capable of completing ministry of agriculture forms and reports.

A competitive salary, pension scheme, very good 4 bedroom house and vehicle are available for the successful candidate.
