Pig Stockperson in Suffolk

We are recruiting for an experienced pig stockperson to oversee the finishing setup on a farm in Suffolk, IP7. 

The family-run mixed farm is looking for a general farm worker/pig stockperson to join their small team. The farm is predominantly arable and incorporates a 2,000-place pig finishing unit.

The applicant will be expected to show a high level of enthusiasm and attention to detail.

The role will include general farm work within the arable business and day-to-day stockmanship with the pigs. Although the responsibilities given to the applicant will be proportionate to their enthusiasm and attitude, it is hoped that in due course, the applicant will be able to take on some or all of the management of the pig unit.

Experience with machinery is preferred. 

Salary guide: £25,000 - £35,000 DOE

Housing is available on-farm - Rent is charged at £625 per month plus £35 for water and sewerage. 

Working hours: 40 - 50 hours per week working every other weekend – more in the summer.
