Experienced Arable Operator
A well equipped 1000 hectare organic farming operation growing mainly cereal crops in south Wiltshire is seeking an experienced and skilled Arable Operator to join a small team as a working forman.
Main responsibilities include:
- All cultivations and drilling of cereal crops
- Combine operations
- Part responsibility for the grain store
- Record keeping
- Machinery maintenance and general farm duties
- Estate maintenance
The successful candidate must be forward thinking, versatile, safety conscious and be an enthusiastic team player but also have the ability to work on their own.
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, diligent and flexible person.
A competitive remuneration package including a cottage on the farm, is available for the right candidate.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate mechanical competence and a high standard of arable work. Previous experience of organic farming is not essential.
