If you have experience in trials and are looking for an exciting, long term field based opportunity to train as a Purity Officer this could be the next step you have been looking for.
This global leading arable business have a proven track record of training and investment in the next generation of agricultural students. They are looking for someone who will join the successful barley breeding team, you will be working to develop high quality and successful barley varieties.
To be in with a chance, you simply need practical arable experience, high attention to detail and the desire to develop as well as a full UK driving license.
Some daily tasks:
- Planning and preparing barley purity of advanced lines to avoid contamination/out-pollinisation
- Recording traits, take observations and maintain databases concerning purity information. Keeping excellent records and working to deadlines.
- Effective communication with the barley team. Co-ordinating breeding activities and supervising technical staff/students during summer.
- Carry out field activities to include: drilling and harvesting purity, nurseries and barley trials with barley team.
