Chief Ruminant Technical Manager

DESCRIPTION:
A Chief  Ruminant Technical Manager is required for Great Britain for a European feed supplement company with an enviable reputation for innovation. The job will cover the company’s GB ruminant sales accounts. The successful applicant will have an  animal science degree combined with  good dairy cow knowledge and feed industry nutritional experience, plus dairy industry awareness.  More importantly they will be able to command the respect of technical persons operating within  compounders and blenders manufacturing ruminant feed. This post requires good ruminant nutrition commercial  knowledge. This ruminant nutritionist role would be an ideal opportunity  for career advancement for an industry  dairy cow PhD. There will be responsibility to take charge of research and development   through connected GB universities.

The role will be responsible for maintaining a high level of technical support to existing customers through the company’s sales force. This Chief  Ruminant Technical Manager will take charge of briefing third party merchants on the technical merits of  the company’s ruminant products.

The Chief  Ruminant Technical Manager will take charge of formulations and their nutritional specification which monitoring quality control and performance. Overall, there will be the need to develop new business opportunities throughout the UK  and Europe across the company's product range.

LOCATION:
There is a reasonable amount of GB travel with the position, but it is likely that the successful candidate would be either home-based or relocate to near the company's GB offices.
