Senior Pig Stockperson - Ref 1253 Scotland

On behalf of our client, we are recruiting a Senior Pig Stockperson for their farm in Scotland EH41.

The farm is predominantly cattle, along with 80 sows. The indoor pig unit does breeding through to finishing.

The producer is looking for either a stockperson to oversee the running of the pig unit with the owner or an experienced stockperson with less responsibility to cover the day-to-day duties of the unit. 

Job Description:

• Covering all aspects of pig husbandry and farm management
• Farming machinery operation – Manito Forklift & Rough Terrain vehicles
• Adhering to high welfare standards and health & safety regulations
• Achieving production targets
• General farm maintenance
• Working with the 5-week batch system
• Working every other weekend (flexible)

Hourly Rate Guide: £12 - £17 per hour DOE

Plus:

Either a 2/3 bed cottage on-farm at a highly subsidised rent or free accommodation in a houseshare.
