The Gladwake herd, owned and bred by the Ives family based at Park Farm, Herriard, is one of the leading black and white pedigree herds in the country.  

We are looking for a Stockperson/General Farm Worker/Tractor Driver for this family run dairy farm in Hampshire. You will be working within a small, highly motivated, and focused team.  The 240 high yielding dairy Holsteins are milked by four Lely robots and has a yield of 14,200 litres.   

The job will entail helping rear all the youngstock, calves, heifers etc.  You will be using a JCB telehandler, of which you will be responsible for the maintenance and care of, and the associated equipment.   

Cleaning out youngstock housing and feeding of youngstock is also required, together with feeding milk calves, mainly in the afternoons.  There will be the need for tractor and JCB work at drilling, harvest, and silage making times.

You will also be required to help with all stock duties when necessary and have a mechanical aptitude for helping run and maintain the robots, together with on call duties on a rota basis.  

A driving licence is essential, and the successful applicant will be offered a 285-day contract with 80-days off, together with on-site mobile home accommodation.  However, a house may become available on the Estate at a later date.
