We have a new contract vacancy for an Assistant Herdsperson to assist with all aspects of the daily routine on this family farm just outside Tetbury. 
Cows are calved all year round and are fed a TMR as required and currently yield 7000ltrs. The unit has a modern recently installed 30/30 ATL parlour with ACR’s and Back Flush. Recent investment has seen new silage clamps and new slurry handling system. A mixture of loose housing for dry cows and new sawdust bedded cubicles provide a comfortable environment for the cows.  
Duties will include one milking per day, herd health, record keeping, calf rearing and yard duties. The ideal candidate will have stockmanship skills and practical ability ensuring that the highest standards of health & welfare are maintained across the entire herd. 
The package will include regular time off, salary to reflect experience and responsibility and comes with a rent/council tax free 2 bed-room semi-detached house.
