G’s produce the finest quality salads and vegetables, supplying to all the major UK and many European retailers. Our Cambs Farms operations produce both Conventional and Organic Salads as well as Vegetable, and Arable crops and has an exciting opportunity to join our farm management team in Cambridgeshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Farm Manager who has a strong focus on growing and overall farm management. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role will also require the ability to lead and develop while working with market leading agronomy, and machinery advances.

Key responsibilities for our Farm Manager:

  • Day-to-day management of the Organic Salads and Vegetable crops, and the rotational break crops.
  • Day-to-day managing of all field teams within the area, land prep, planting, irrigation, and other general farm duties.
  • All relevant crop husbandry, working closely with farm agronomists.
  • Develop the farm for:  new Organic crop types, Our Future farming plan around Organic Regen, our digital farming plan and introduction of livestock.
  • Daily interface with harvest teams, updating on quality, availability, and crop utilisation.
  • Assisting management support in countryside stewardship and the farm estate.
  • All relevant administrative duties related to the farm, programming health and safety, finance, technical, and digital AG development.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience in farm, crop, and operational management.
  • Ability to demonstrate good farming practices in a farming operation.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Some livestock experience preferrable.
  • Experience with John Deere equipment and connect farm an advantage.
  • Well organised, proactive, good communication and reliability.
  • BASIS Qualification (advantageous)
