Our client - a respected and exciting UAE based biotech company is seeking a highly skilled, highly motivated and highly experienced individual to join their senior team as commercial manager. The well funded and resourced company is a leading specialist in snake and scorpion venom extraction and the production of peptides, toxins, enzymes and proteins derived from venom. With a core set of values and strong vision, the business aims to be at the leading edge in their sector through utilising technology, having exceptional management at all levels and by being agile and adaptable to the demands of the market.

As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for leading and executing the sales and marketing strategies for the company and the role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries coupled with excellent communication skills and a track record of commercialisation and business development.

Your core responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following:

Sales and Business Development - Identify and target potential clients, partners, and markets for venom-derived products.

Market Analysis and Strategy - Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth.

Product Promotion and Marketing - Design and implement effective marketing campaigns.

Cross Functional collaboration - work closely with the R&D team to understand the scientific aspects of venom, extraction and product development.

Sales performance management - set sales targets and KPIs aligned with company, goals and revenue objectives.

Client relationship management - acting as the main point of contact with key clients, addressing their enquiries, concerns and feedback.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelors degree in either business administration, marketing, biology or a related field, they will have a proven track record of business development, sales or a commercial role within the pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences sectors. You need to have a strong knowledge of venom, derivative products and their applications in research medicine or related fields. You will have excellent communicational and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at various level report to the senior board above you. You will have an analytical mindset able to interpret data and market trends for decision-making and strategy planning.

The role is based in Abu Dhabi and will require occasional travel throughout the region and to countries and territories where the client operates.
