A fantastic opportunity has arisen to manage a large AYR calving herd of cows in the centre of Ireland (about an hour and a quarter from Dublin). We require a very experienced and enthusiastic Farm Manager to manage all aspects of the farm including budgets and staff and maximise the potential of the 600 acre grass and grain farm.
The herd is milked through a rotary parlour; grazed for as long as the weather dictates and are housed in cubicles the rest of the time. The farm aims to have a medium build cow producing 8,500 litres of milk from all home-grown feed and forage.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional people manager, have experience managing farms and budgets and someone who leads by example and has very high standards in whatever they do.
In return for your efforts, we offer a highly competitive salary with profit share / performance related pay, regular time off, accommodation free from rent and council tax.  The accommodation available is a lovely modern 4 bed family home on the farm, with central heating and double glazing.
The salary bracket offered for this role would be €50K - €65K for the right candidate.
