We require an experienced and dedicated assistant herdsperson/Dairy Farm Operative on a 350-cow unit located between Uttoxeter and Derby. The exceptionally tidy and well-maintained farm has enjoyed investment over recent years in terms of parlour - a 24/48 GEA, cubicle housing and general infrastructure. The holstein herd is predominantly autumn calving and enjoys enviable yields milked twice per day. The role would entail working alongside the herd manager and the team undertaking milkings, general yard tasks, aiding with herd health and welfare, feeding and telehandler work as well as general farm work when required. You would be a key member of an established team which regularly includes placement students from Ag colleges and Vet schools. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, show dedication to the herd and will be seeking a role that utilises their array of skills.
