Due to retirement, we are looking for an experienced TMR feeder operator to undertake the feeding, telehandler operations and other yard tractor work on a 1700 cow operation near Brampton, Cumbria.

The role would offer great variety but will be mainly focused on mixing and managing feed stocks and ensuring that an accurate diet - as specified by the farm nutritionist -  is fed to the different groups in the herd.

Alongside this you will undertake telehandler operations, working with farm deliveries and general yard tasks as well as machinery maintenance. There will also be the opportunity to undertake some field operations working alongside the tractor driver and contractors during peak times. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, strong attention to detail, a proactive approach towards maintenance and an understanding of cow nutrition and the importance of the diet -although training can be given.
