Pig Stockperson

We are looking to recruit an indoor Finishing Pig Stockperson for a farm in North Yorkshire (YO61).

The farmer operates a mixed farm that includes pigs, sheep, cattle, and arable.

The chosen candidate will be involved with 10,000 finishing pigs (from 45 kilos to bacon) based on three units—all straw–based.  

Ideally, the applicant will need: 

• 1 + years of experience in commercial pigs or Livestock experience
• Good Farm Machinery skills
• Have a driving license and a car

The candidate should be able to demonstrate: 

• Commitment & passion for the pig industry
• Motivation to achieve good results
• High welfare standards
• Have good experience of Forklift/JCB/Tractor with straw blower across all units

Salary: £13 - £14 per hour DOE

Plus: Single-person accommodation is available, or candidates can commute to YO61.
