A well-established company that has been operating for 34 years. They are a leading provider of agricultural, environmental, and planning consultancy services.
Based in their Bury St. Edmunds office, they operate across a wide area, stretching from Lincolnshire down to Sussex.
Due to an increasing workload, especially in the environmental sector, they are looking to add an Environmental Consultant to their growing team.
The Role
This is an exciting and varied role where you will provide specialised advice on carbon auditing and sequestration, BNG, and Agri-Environment schemes. You will help to educate farmers on the best practices to help maximise environmental benefit and also guide them through the process. You will always be looking for ways to add considerable value to the company and generate new business, by researching and evaluating new opportunities. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to Liaise directly with farmers, estates, local authorities, regional planners, and landowners amongst others, amongst other key partners.
About You
Most importantly, you will have a strong enthusiasm for the environmental sector. You will have a good knowledge and understanding of carbon tools, carbon market, and opportunities for farms. You will have a sound understanding of current and emerging environmental legislation specific to UK agriculture. As you will be interacting with a diverse range of clients, you will have the ability to communicate on technical and commercial levels with all of them. Due to the nature of the work, you will have a willingness to take the initiative and working from the office and travelling to farm meetings, you will be an independent learner, who can also contribute as a strong team player.
