GAVINS Ltd is a large agricultural contracting business operating in the Waikato, near Hamilton, New Zealand. Our core business is the growing and harvesting of maize / grass silage and maize grain as well as carrying out a wide range of agricultural contracting services.

We pride ourselves in running a first class range of modern machinery including John Deere, Fendt, Claas, CAT, Hitachi, and Volvo equipment, plus a range of trucks and other associated machinery and equipment.

We are looking to recruit experienced operators from the UK for seasonal employment due to start in mid-late September 2024 through to the end of April-May 2025 - you must be able to commit to this time period to be considered for a position.

We are specifically looking for skilled operators with at least 2+ years experience in:

  • Trailed sprayers - 18m boom,
  • 4 - 5 furrow reversible ploughs,
  • Switch and chisel ploughs,
  • Discing,
  • 3 - 7 metre power harrows,
  • Fertiliser spreading,
  • 3m - 6m seed drilling,  
  • 8 and 12 metre swathers,
  • Mower conditioners and grass tedders,
  • Round balers,
  • Bale wrapping, handling and stacking,
  • Grass and maize silage tractor trailer cartage,
  • Bulk grass and maize silage stacking,
  • Maize planter support tractors,

Rental accommodation is available where required. Your remuneration will be based on your experience. This is a great way to travel and gain valuable work experience within an industry leading company.
