Job Details
We are recruiting for an indoor Pig Farm Manager for a unit in Lincolnshire (LN4).
If you are looking for the chance to move forward and progress your career in pig farming, our client is looking for a motivated and experienced manager to run their flagship adaptive farrowing indoor pig unit and oversee the GMU that feeds into it.
The farm has invested significantly over the last couple of years, with brand new farrowing and dry sow accommodation and new staff facilities.
Job role requirements:
- A proven track record in pig husbandry and farm management
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to understand production data to meet and exceed targets
- Understand planning and logistics, and, importantly, have the capability to enforce our high standards of animal welfare strictly
- Support and manage the team, ensuring they comply with company policies and support them with their training and development
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey information clearly and collaborate effectively
- The confidence to host customer visits and build positive relationships is crucial
- A keen interest in the advancement and changes in industry techniques
- The ability to understand production data to meet and exceed targets
Pay and benefits:
- Full-time, permanent position

- The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, with alternate weekend work
