Pig Stockperson

We are recruiting for an experienced pig stockperson for a farm in Suffolk (IP28).

This is an opportunity to work on an outdoor breeding unit. Our client is seeking to employ a motivated, reliable individual who can work well as a team player and lead the team forward in the manager's absence.

The Red Tractor-accredited pig units are well-run and led by forward-thinking, modern professionals, where animal welfare is at the heart of their business.

Job description:

• Feeding sows
• Strawing up huts
• Moving sows
• Weaning piglets
• Fallen stock removal
• Artificial insemination
• Identification of illness
• Administering vaccinations and medicine
• Practicing good biosecurity
• Accurate record keeping
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather

If you have experience with commercial pig farming and can hit the ground running, we want to hear from you. 

Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 DOE
