Job Title: Category Manager
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Location: West Midlands
This role is an exciting opportunity to onboard with a market-leader in their respective industry who are now looking for a talented category manager to join the team!
The Category Manager is responsible for supporting the optimization of the end-to-end supply chain activities. The role involves supporting the Procurement and other Heads of Department in implementing their strategic planning, sourcing, procurement, and category maangement to ensure efficient operations, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:
o Support the Geographical development of sourcing strategies to achieve cost
savings, quality improvements, and supply security.
o Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in
the beef supply chain.
* Category Management:
o Support on market pricing strategies
o Lifecycle oversight and management.
o Analyse performance and develop action plans to optimize profitability
growth and market share.
o Collaborate with procurement, rearing, sales teams to drive business growth
and innovation.
o Develop marketing plans in collaboration with procurement, rearing and sales
teams needs
* Supplier Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
o Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement
plans as needed.
o Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and
sustainability standards.
* Inventory and Logistics Management:
o Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
o Supporting the Heads of Department implement best practices for inventory
management and demand forecasting.
* Financial Management:
o Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management,
Agriculture, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, agri management,
procurement, or supply chain management within the food industry.
* Strong knowledge of food supply chain processes, market dynamics, and industry
trends.
