The Vacancy

Here at EDC we have two new exciting opportunities for you to join our team, this could be as a Programme area leader for our Land-Based or Animal Management sectors. These roles are on a full time permanent basis with the expectation that alongside the standard work you complete you will be required to undertake 10 hours of formal teaching and provide cover when needed. Please note, if you are successful in the application stage, the interviews will be conducted on the 12th/13th of August.

Due to growth and investment in our management structure, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced course/programme lead at our land-based campus. Supporting the curriculum manager, the successful candidate will contribute to  innovative and ambitious programme development across a range of courses, delivering outstanding outcomes for learners.

Main Duties of the Role:

• To contribute to the setting and monitoring of curriculum key performance indicators

• To support the development and implementation of an innovative curriculum that meets the needs of individual learners, employers, and the local community, ensuring and promoting high standards and expectations within the programme area.

• Support and co-operate with staff development provision, which leads and supports staff in the development of innovative teaching and learning strategies to improve student achievements.

• Undertake 10 hours formal teaching per week and provide cover teaching when required.

Essential Requirement:

• Strong track record of outstanding teaching and course management

• Previous experience of improving outcomes for learners

• Strong IT skills
