Been waiting for the opportunity to take a step up?
Want the opportunity to look at the bigger picture?
Whether you're ready for something a little different, or you want to take the step up to a bigger role, this brand-new role could be the role for you.
What's the job?
You'll be joining one of the biggest carrot and parsnip growers in the country. With farms across the UK and produce going to retailers, you'll be keeping busy.
You'll be staying close to what you love, farming.
Part of this role will see you managing all field operations across the farms, trialling new varieties and innovations, and creating rotation plans.
When looking at the bigger picture, this will see you supporting in budget management, building relationships and landowners, and developing a team.
The business already has plans in place to expand, which means the role you join to do could develop and become the job after that too.
You'll be reporting into the Farms Director. So, if you're coming in and hitting the ground running, you'll have the autonomy straight away, and if you need some support to get up to speed, you've got a great person to learn from.
What do I need?
With farms across the UK, there's going to be a lot of travel involved. They have farming operations in Yorkshire, Shropshire, Norfolk, and Scotland, so you'll be out and about most weeks.
You'll be required to stay away from home when you're up in Scotland. Depending on where you live, it might be easier to stay away from home during the week, so it'll need to work with your personal life.
You'll have farming experience, and you'll understand the pressures of fresh produce farming. You might be working with potatoes, or a different field veg crop, that's fine as long as you're excited to learn.
You'll be happy to work independently. You'll be managing your own diary, working across lots of different times and also working from home.
