SSEN Transmission are looking for Land Managers, based in the north or east of Scotland, to help secure the land rights required to build the proposed 400kV overhead lines, underground cables and substations needed to meet the UK government’s 2030 net zero targets.

The work will be similar to that of a land agent, where you will be working alongside multi-disciplinary project teams through the design process and into construction.

A typical day will involve liaising with landowners and occupiers over proposed route and site selection, assessing the impact of the proposed infrastructure over rural land and businesses, agreeing accommodation works, carrying out valuations and assessing compensation claims, and negotiating rights in land such as wayleaves and options for servitudes or land purchase.

We are looking for people who have a solid background in agriculture and are looking for a new challenge, or those who already have experience in the land and utilities sectors.
