Trials Officer

Lincolnshire / Cambridgeshire

Velcourt

Fed up with your current trials role with no opportunity to progress?

Want to move to a business that is expanding, where you have the chance to mould your own role?

What's the job?

There won't be anything you're not used to.

Liaising with farmers, marking out, preparation, spraying, and assessments.

What makes this trials role different is the team and Velcourt as a business.

It's a small team. You'd be one of 4. What this means is independence. They trust you to get the job done. Whilst it's a small team, you'll have lots of support from the Trials Manager, who's been in the role for over 15 years.

You'll also get to see your research put into action. Because of the way Velcourt operate, you'll see your hard work implemented on a commercial farming level and have the opportunity to relay your findings directly to the farmers.

When it comes to building your career, Velcourt could be the place to do it. They have an ambitious strategy for growth in the next few year which could see your role as a trials officer diversify.

You could become their expert in what you are passionate about, whether it be a specific area of trials work, data, agronomy, protocol design or key account management, the opportunity is there to shape the role in the direction which suits you.

What else?

You'll already have exposure to a trials environment, having your PA1 and PA6 with significant trials spraying experience.

Due to the size of the team, you'll be a self-starter. Working alone won't phase you, and you'll be happy to just get the job done to an excellent standard.

You'll be happy to travel frequently in the role. Velcourt has trials sites across Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, and East Anglia so you'll be out and about.

They're office is based in Lincolnshire. You'll spend some of your time working there, getting to see the team and collaborate.
