Job Details

We have a fantastic job opportunity for an experienced or entry-level Pig Stockperson in West Yorkshire (LS26).

Our client will consider either experienced staff or individuals with previous livestock experience or those finishing college or university and having studied agriculture.

The job role:

  • General pig stock work - all aspects of pig husbandry will be covered
  • Working on a large indoor sow unit on a farrow-to-finish system
  • Mucking out/bedding up
  • Maintaining animal welfare
  • Feeding
  • Assisting wherever needed

The unit has skilled pig industry people who are willing to share their knowledge and skills.

 

Salary Guide: £25,000 - £35,000 DOE + a 2-bed bungalow (rent-free).
