Due to rapid expansion, our client requires a highly motivated individual capable of leading an existing, settled team managing a very large herd near Tiverton in Devon.  The business currently milks on three sites with one dry cow unit and a number of youngstock units. 

Working alongside the operations manager and reporting directly to the business owner, your primary role will be the responsibility for the core herd ensuring all cow operations are carried out in a timely and effective manner.  You will oversee the milking and yard teams, while liaising closely with the herd health manager in improving performance particularly with fresh cow management.  You will also oversee one of the other milking units, the dry cow unit and dairy youngstock.

You will have a proven track record of elite stockmanship and be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills, a passion for the dairy cow and the drive to achieve agreed targets.
