Job Details

We are recruiting for a Pig Stockperson for an outdoor production unit in Cumbria (CA4).

The family-run unit conforms to the guidelines set by the Freedom Food programme.

It is a breeding-to-weaning site with 900 sows, with the piglets leaving the unit at four weeks. 

The producer is looking for an enthusiastic Pig Stockperson to join the team and cover the daily duties of the unit. Those with less experience but passion and determination will also be considered.

Person specification:

  • Ideally, good husbandry skills 
  • Passion and determination to succeed
  • High welfare standards
  • Attention to detail
  • Can do attitude
  • Ability to keep accurate records


Salary guide: £25,000 to £30,000 doe

Plus:

  • A workplace pension
  • 28 days holiday
