We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic person to assist on the Bluegates’ dairy with the rearing of newborn calves.  

Key to the role will lead to being responsible for the feeding and bedding of the calves, cleaning pens and hutches. Further to that, the role will include work on the dairy unit such as moving cow groups to and from parlour, assisting with milking at times and various other cow husbandry tasks.

Previous dairy experience would be fantastic but not essential. Training will be given where applicable.  The successful applicant will be good with animals, with a focus on animal welfare, good with early mornings and happy to “muck in”!

The role is based on a full day, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Pay based on experience and ability.
