Agronomist | South Wales / Herefordshire

Our client, a leading supplier of seed, crop protection products and fertiliser to farmers, is seeking an experienced Agronomist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and skilled agronomist to provide specialist agronomy advice and support to farmers across all aspects of arable crop production.

Position Overview

As an Agronomist, you will play a vital role in providing technical advice and support to farmers and agribusiness clients, helping them optimise crop nutrition, pest control, soil management and irrigation to improve yield and efficiency while promoting environmentally sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities

  • Advise farmers on crop nutrition, pest control and irrigation

  • Assess crop conditions and soil health through field visits

  • Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies

  • Analyse soil and tissue samples and recommend fertilsers

  • Stay updated on agronomy research, technology and best practices

  • Collaborate with sales team to provide agronomic support

  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and observations

  • Promote sustainable farming practices and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • BASIS / FACTS qualified

  • Proven experience as an Agronomist
