Pig Farm Worker Stockperson

We are recruiting an outdoor pig stockperson for a farm in Suffolk (NR34).

The family-run mixed farming business has arable and pigs. Their pigs are on an outdoor breeding unit (bed and breakfast). There are 1100 sows, breeding-to-weaning, on a 5-week batch system, fed with auto feed dispensers.

They require an experienced stockperson for day-to-day duties on the unit, including duties on the farrowing paddock, fostering, weaning, feeding, serving, and fencing.

Person specifications:

• Experienced pig stockperson 
• Keen, enthusiastic and practical individual 
• Good attention to detail and focus
• A good team member
• Knowledge in record keeping and computerised herd records
• Must be able to drive and hold a valid driving license 
• Experience with machinery

Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 doe

• 35 days holiday (including bank holidays)
