Farm Manager

James Stockdale Ltd is a leading potato grower based in North Yorkshire, annually growing a combination of approx. 1500 acres of seed and ware potatoes and nearly 1000 acres of wheat, barley, beans, peas and oil seed rape.

We wish to recruit a forward thinking experienced “hands on” happy to muck in when required Farm Manager to be based in North Yorkshire while covering both North and East Yorkshire to manage the farm operations of the company.

You require a strong background in farming and ideally with experience in potatoes whilst being a natural leader capable of managing and motivating a team. Though consideration would be given to an exceptional candidate without potato knowledge. 

Key roles include but not limited to:

Managing day to day farm operations, ensuring efficient operations

Crop management

Managing customer and key supplier accounts

Red Tractor accreditation

Requirements

Full driving licence

IT skills

FACTS/BASIS (advantageous or willingness to obtain)

Salary for this senior position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications along with company vehicle.
