Pig Stockperson

We have a great new vacancy for a Pig Stockperson to join a farm in North Yorkshire (HG4).

The chosen candidate will join a team on a farrow-to-finish pig enterprise on a 500-sow indoor unit. 

There will be a variety of duties covering farrowing, serving, and gilts but predominantly overseeing the finishers. 

Plus, any other tasks associated with the unit.

Ideally, two years of experience is preferred. 

Candidates must demonstrate: 

• Eagerness to learn
• A strong work ethic
• Enthusiasm for the pig industry
• High welfare standards
• Team-player abilities
• Experience with tractors, trailers, etc., is preferred but not essential
• Own transport is required

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a very good team and be part of a well-established company. 

Salary: £35,000 + DOE 

Plus: 

• Good family 3-bed house (rent-free)  off-farm.
• Workplace pension
