Job Details

We are recruiting for a Pig Manager for a farm in North East Scotland AB37.

The unit is located in a semi-rural location. The producer is a first-generation farmer with over twenty-five years of experience in pigs and ten years in farm ownership.

The indoor unit has 740 sows producing 7kg weaners on a 3-week batch system. 500 sows are on straw, the rest on slats, and all are liquid-fed with a Hampshire feeding system.

Our client is looking to employ a full-time, permanent, hands-on manager with a can-do attitude. Candidates must have proven experience in all aspects of pig husbandry, welfare and farm management.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE

Plus: 

  • Production related bonus
  • Newly refurbished 3-bed bungalow with garden on a school bus route
  • Weekends on a rota system
