Pig Stockperson

We are recruiting an Outdoor Pig Stockperson for a farm in Suffolk IP28. 

This excellent job opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic person who wants to join a progressive, independent producer who values commitment, reliability, and the desire to learn. 

Candidates ideally will have one year of experience with commercial pig production for a 900-sow outdoor unit, producing 7kg weaners on a 3-week batch system. 

Person specifications: 

• Excellent time keeping
• Self-motivated
• Flexible
• Ability to work in a small team
• Must be able to work to a very high level of animal welfare

The job will involve daily checks on pigs, ensuring they are fed, watered, and have adequate bedding, as the company requires. The unit's appearance must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Using good machinery and equipment to help achieve the necessary high standards. 

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE

Candidates need to be able to commute to IP28.
