Are you passionate about livestock and helping farmers achieve the best results? We’re looking for an experienced Ruminant Nutritionist to join our dynamic team in Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with a hands-on approach, working closely with farmers and a dedicated sales team to drive success for their herds and flocks.

If you have experience in dairy nutrition or robot dairy operations, you could become the go-to specialist in the dairy sector for this well-established Yorkshire feed manufacturer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-farm visits and engage with farmers to develop tailored feeding plans.

• Build strong, lasting relationships within the dairy and livestock farming community.

• Collaborate with supporting sales representatives to provide exceptional customer service and maximise business growth.

• Use of formulation software (e.g., Best Mix) to prepare and optimise ruminant feeds.

• Use of nutritional software e.g. Diet Check to produce on farm feed plans.

• Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and best practices.

• Contribute to research and development of innovative ruminant feed products.

 

About You:

You’re a self-motivated professional with a solid background in ruminant nutrition and a passion for agriculture. You thrive on building relationships, delivering tailored solutions, and working collaboratively with a team.

 

What We’re Looking For:

• Stockmanship Expertise: Deep understanding of livestock and their nutritional needs.

• Ruminant Nutrition Experience: Proven track record in sales or technical roles.

• Formulation Software Knowledge: Familiarity with tools like Best Mix or similar platforms.

• Experience with Dairy Operations: Knowledge of how to optimise nutrition for robotic milking systems is a strong advantage.

• Social Skills: Strong communication and influencing abilities.

• Collaborative Mindset: Experience working with or leading sales representatives to achieve shared goals.

• Proactive Attitude: Creative, innovative, and solution-focused.

• Time Management: Highly organized with a goal-oriented approach.
